Treatment Options For Spinal Disc and Sciatica Pain.
Options to treat this type of spine and nerve problems can be confusing. Even more so when you are living in pain.
Rest or exercise? Pain medication to cover up the symptoms? Ice? Heat? Surgery?
While every person and condition is unique, here are some treatment options that I have found most effective over the past 25 years.
To get out of pain, rest, ice and light-force chiropractic adjustments will work well for most people. For more chronic disc and sciatic pain, I have seen very good results with spinal decompression treatment (we use the DRX 9000 and the KDT systems), low level laser and chiropractic instrument light-force adjustments. Strengthening the spine to prevent recurrent disc and sciatic pain is critical after the condition improves.
