Putting on a live gig in the electronica music industry is becoming almost impossible according to one of the United Kingdom’s leading labels. Despite the same label being able to put on annual concerts for the past 6 years it has been confirmed that next years offering will be cancelled due to a gradual decrease in past attendances, the proposed time of the event being a public holiday where people generally have other things on and also poor interest in ticket sales so far. This is obviously bad news for fans that have already purchased tickets or those that had planned to attend the event but with finances being tight in such a niche industry it would be financial suicide for a label to continue with an electronic music event that is forecasted not to break even.
