There was an article in the paper yesterday that had a city insurance guide for homeowners and renters.  While most homeowners are required to carry insurance it has only been in the last few years that landlords have started to require renters to have insurance as well.  Since there are so many new people in the pool it has actually brought the cost of the insurance down for everybody.  The article went on to say that even if your landlord does not require it, you should really look into getting renter’s insurance in case of a disaster.  I thought it was a great article.
