My son Jason graduated from college last year and was thrilled to have a good job and be independent. He was also excited that he would not have to take any new courses. Six months after graduation Jason came home for a visit and announced that he just got his first credit card and wanted to buy a big screen TV. His Dad sat him down and explained how credit cards work. Then they reviewed an online glossary for credit card terms. Jason thanked his father for his, “Credit 101″ course and said would save up for the TV. He also said that was one course he thought everyone should take, even if they never went to college.
