Is the Book Dead?

Tuesday, October 12th, 2010

There is a widespread fear that books may disappear with the advent of digital books (download ebooks here). While there are many advantages to digital books the likelihood that they will completely take over the book market is remote, however possible. The debate is heated as to if/when digital will take over and both sides have some valid points. Will children switch to electronic books at the tender age of two? Will paper become in such short supply that printing books will no longer be economical? Are books antiquated and no longer a valued source of information? These are a few of the questions being raised and only time will tell what the future holds for the beloved book.

The Gift of Christian Daily Devotions

Thursday, August 26th, 2010

My son was baptized several weeks ago at our new church. It was a wonderful moment for our family to witness together. As a gift, I got my son a book of Christian daily devotions. We read one together every night before he goes to bed. I am really proud of him, and glad that his little brother has such a great role model. He is now going around the house pretending to be a preacher and he even made his own little pulpit. He told me just the other day he wants to be a preacher when he grows up.

Barefoot Running Book

Saturday, July 31st, 2010

There is lots of debate relating to the thought of barefoot running or jogging in running footwear. There is lots of beliefs for both, nevertheless absolutely no evidence that certain is generally greater than one other. This is regardless of a large amount of promises being made that not using running shoes running is way better and that jogging shoes are bad. The publications does not show this. Not surprisingly there is a developing market for barefoot running shoes, which is to some degree of an curosity because how can you be barefoot together with footwear? These athletic shoes have become cut down as well as are supposed to act like the act of running without athletic shoes.

Book on Barefoot Running

Tuesday, July 27th, 2010

Right now there is a lot interest in relating to the thought of barefoot running as opposed to jogging in running sneakers. There is lots of beliefs for both, and yet absolutely no research that one is generally a lot better than the other. This is even with a large amount of statements being created which not using running shoes going for a run is way better and that jogging sneakers could be unhealthy. The publications does not support this. Not surprisingly there’s a expanding industry for barefoot running shoes, that is somewhat of an curosity because how can you be barefoot together with footwear? These athletic shoes are very minimal as well as should mimic the action of running without footwear.

Break no Bones

Saturday, June 19th, 2010

Last week I have purchased a Books“Break No Bones”, Actually I have decided to give this a listen after becoming a fan of the TV series Bones. I knew that the show had really deviated from the books, but really it seems that there is not much more in common between the two beyond the name and chosen career of the Temperance Brennan. In that I did like the main characters. The fabric of Temp’s  relationships is textured and believable. If this book has a saving grace, it is that there is a descent mystery on deck for solving. Really this is a very great book to read.

Google bizkit review

Tuesday, March 9th, 2010

Be wary of the Google biz kit review. It will first trick you into believing that you will get a lot of money with Google’s Adsense program. Then it will ask you for your credit card information that will charge you a lot of money monthly. If you have already signed on this program, immediately cancel the transaction with your credit card company to prevent further damage. Report this matter immediately to the proper authorities. Always make sure you read the terms and conditions before you enter your credit card information. It pays to be careful of these types of modus operandi.
