Black and White TV’s, Do They Still Make Them?
Thursday, July 29th, 2010With all the whizbangery about the latest high falootin’ high definition television sets, you could be forgiven in thinking that the old black and white tv sets from the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s are long past their use by date.
Just who in their right mind would want to buy a black and white tv these days? Well it should come as o surprise if you watch the daily news. You see all those news items highlighted as “Armed gunman robs 7 eleven”. That’s right the footage is always grainy “black and white” cctv replays after the bandit has made off with the loot.
Why these tv’s are still b & w is bit of a mystery to me, especially when you consider the types of technologies that go into every kind of consumer tv, as you may find on HDTVsReviewer.com. You would think that the added advantage of knowing the color of the top or pants the bad guy was wearing would help police track him down.
But oh, silly me the good guys dress in white (hats included0 and the bad guys well they just wear black, so I guess color would be over-kill anyway, wouldn’t it?
