2 Reasons To Learn The Language

Thursday, February 18th, 2010

It’s funny, my mom always tried to get me to take a foreign language back when I was in school and I would always refuse. Now, here I am studying reading about a rocket spanish review so that I can become proficient in the language. I want it for two reasons actually. I’m taking a vacation next summer down to San Diego and I feel like we’ll probably travel down to Tijuana for some shopping. I want to be able to haggle in their native language. I figure it could also help me at work as I work with quite a few Spanish ladies.

Getting Ready for the Walk

Thursday, February 18th, 2010

I need to compile a list of all the available extended stay hotels albany has within a 12 mile radius of the downtown area. I am planning a charity walk, and need to have a place for the out of town organizers to stay. We have people coming from chapters all over the world to help with this walk. I want to make sure they are all comfortable. Some of these people will be in Albany for almost a month. I don’t think anyone should live in a hotel room that long. I will be sending out the list nest week, so they have plenty of time to make accomodations.

Lucky to get a late night check in

Wednesday, February 17th, 2010

It was pretty late when I arrived in town and it looked like most of the taupo motel were closed for the night. After a bit of time driving around I managed to find one that still had a light on in the office so I figured that was going to be my best bet. To be honest I was quite surprised that there was anywhere open, so I was very thankful that this place still was as I really needed to stop for the night and get some rest as I had been on the road for about twelve hours and was well shattered.

I’m what you would call a diving fanatic. I love to go diving and I love to travel to other destinations that offer great places to do such things such as snorkeling and diving. A friend told me that I should try Hurghada holidays, in Egypt, because the resort there is a favorite with divers from all over the world. I was curious so I did some looking and it’s right on the Red Sea and you can do more than just dive, you can wind-sail and deep-sea fish too. This sounds like the perfect destination for me, I can’t wait to book my tickets.

Family Holidays in Cornwall

Sunday, February 14th, 2010

For our five year anniversary, which will be this May, my husband and I want to take a special holiday to the beach where he proposed. It was six years ago that our families were both on holidays in Cornwall, and we ended up on the same beach. I had just finished my A levels and was preparing for University, and he was there with his parents, tourists from America. I hate to sound cheesy, but it really was love at first sight. We’ve been together since we met that day, and now we want to return to that beach where we met, and then became engaged.

Working In Costa Rica

Wednesday, February 10th, 2010

My uncle has been sent to Costa Rica by his employer and he is working on a project that will require him to stay there for a few months.  He does not want to stay at a normal hotel and he is looking for a costa rica apartment hotel because it has more of the amenities that he is looking for.  He likes the apartment feel and since he will be there for a long time, this will work out better for him.  He is excited about leaving, but his wife will miss him very much.  I am proud of him because he is doing so well at work.

Honeymooners Dreamland in Montezuma

Wednesday, February 10th, 2010

I think that if you are going to spend a lot of money on your honeymoon then you might as well go some place that is going to stick into your mind forever.  I have heard a lot of couples talking about their honeymoons and they just didn’t seem to have that lasting effect.  The way they talk about their time is not very inspiring.  So I started looking online for places that have inspired people.  Montezuma Costa Rica seems to be that kind of place.  I have hear so many great things about it, from the beaches to accommodations.
