The day that my daughter walked into my room and told me that she wanted to find her biological parents, I couldn’t help but feel a twinge of sadness and jealousy. But I knew that this day would come eventually, and I had made up my mind years before not to keep the information from her. However, I didn’t have much to go on. I knew their names, and where they have lived when they gave her to me, but that was it. After much thought, I decided that the best place to look was probably in the free public court records. We were able to find them, and although they were happy to discover that she was well and happy, they had no desire to take her from me. It ended up being a positive experience for everyone concerned.
