After the wildfires of last year, I wanted to improve my home’s roof fire rating from Class C to Class A. I went to a local roof company that also specialized in fire rating solutions. They were upfront, stating it would cost more, but showed me the benefits of making sure my roof was fire resistant. They showed videos of the different classes and how the different burn rates were. It was amazing. As I was leaning toward the metal roof, it was not economically feasible. My wife and I settled for an asphalt, fiberglass composition shingle. We both love its appearance the fact that my home is more fire safe.
