American students are not a smart as international students. Studies have shown this to be true for almost a decade now. As a result, companies are hiring workers from those countries for high paying technology and science jobs. American students score lower on math and science tests and shun majoring in science, math and technology programs. Schools are brainstorming for ways to get American students interested in these careers.  Our country’s future depends on it. Taking a page from Japanese, some schools tried requiring entrance and exit exams to make students work harder to graduate high school.
